Indoors Sunday

Every time someone presses for the elevator, no matter from which floor of our nine-story tower, we can hear a soft tone sound from the lobby. It acts as an index of people traffic in the building. We seldom heard it today.

The temperature was pretty much fixed at about 50 all day and the sky was gray. The chill in the air here reminds of the penetrating cold back in South Texas. It's the kind that penetrates to the bone. Since the heat hasn't been turned on in the building most folks on this Sunday must have felt like seeds in cold ground. We did too. I only went down once to toss a small bag of kitchen trash in the dumpster.

Melba and I stayed warm and comfy indoors and watched a good movie, "Memoirs of a Geisha." What better place to enjoy this fine story but Japan. I even understood a tiny bit of the Japanese dialogue.
